Dinâmica de Propagação de Vírus: Transmissibilidade, Virulência e Mecanismos de Controle

Muitas infecções que ainda assolam a humanidade podem ser combatidas usando-se as vacinações em massa. O acúmulo de conhecimentos referentes à transmissão de infecções permitiu quantificar a sua dinâmica usando-se modelos matemáticos. Estes modelos, no entanto, não apenas descrevem a disseminação das doenças na comunidade, mas também podem ser preditivos quanto aos resultados de diferentes mecanismos de controle que são introduzidos nesta comunidade.References
